On March 13, 2021, at 5:22 am Central time, there is a New Moon in Pisces.

A New Moon means that the Sun and Moon are together in the same sign and the same degree. In this case, the Moon and Sun are in the sign of Pisces, which is a Water sign.

At the time of the New Moon, there will be four planets in Pisces, all in the first house and all conjunct to each other:  the Sun, Moon, Neptune and Venus.

I believe the message this imparts to us is the importance of creativity. We need fulfillment in our lives and exercising our creativity can easily bring us satisfaction. This is the satisfaction of bringing something into being that did not previously exist.

It makes my heart and soul soar when I’m in a creative mood, and “in the flow” of creating. I cannot adequately describe how being “in the flow” feels, but you absolutely know the feeling when it comes over you. All you want to do is keep going and your main regret is that time goes by much too quickly.

There is also an element of encouragement to step outside of whatever is considered traditional or conventional with this New Moon, and so I encourage you to be creative in ways that break with the norm.

Paint with colors derived from natural sources: cranberries for maroon, blueberries for navy blue, etc. Make use of old hosiery by crocheting it into a rug. Make your old worn-out favorite  jeans into a purse. Use seashells to frame a picture of the ocean. Use your imagination!
