In the very early morning hours of November 30th, we will have a Full Moon in Gemini. Gemini is an Air sign, often caught up in thoughts, or socializing, or reading a book, or talking about a book, or researching the latest most remote thing anyone could ever fathom to think about.

My mother was a Gemini. She never left the library without a stack of books almost as tall as she was. Her vocabulary was extensive, and English was her second language. And yet, she was born in the Midwest in 1933, to parents who had been Amish and kept to the tradition of raising their children to speak “Dutch”. She was mistaken for a native when we were in Switzerland on vacation in the early 1970s.

Learning is important to Geminis and those born under the opposing sign of Sagittarius. This is where we find ourselves then, with the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Gemini on the day of this Full Moon. So, what can be learned from this? Perhaps we come to an understanding that just because someone has different beliefs or attitudes, it doesn’t mean we can’t get along. We can share in the in between – the places where we come together and agree. We can also discover new things from each other when we choose to open our hearts and minds to points of view that we had not previously considered.

This Full Moon will also feature a Lunar Eclipse on the same day. The Lunar Eclipse will be visible in the early hours of November 30th, but very slightly, and only if the skies are clear.
