Today there is a second New Moon in Cancer. It is not usual to have a second New Moon in the same sign, but I think it has come to us because we need more love and nurturing. The sign of Cancer, ruled by the Moon, brings to us feelings of being comforted by our mother, being nurtured and feeling secure.
I chose this verse from the song, “To Set Fire to the Third Bar” by Snow Patrol to express my feelings today:
I’m miles from where you are
I lay down on the cold ground
And I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms
It tells of longing for the comfort of another, someone familiar, who offers soothing and warmth to us for no other reason than we are loved by them.
As we all are learning to cope with the changing landscape of what is normal in this world, I hope you find peace in your life and allow love to surround your heart.
May peace and love surround you, now and always.
