New Moon in Aries, April 5, 2019

There will be a New Moon in Aries on April 5th at 3:51 a.m. CDT.  This means both the Sun and the Moon are in the sign of Aries, the first sign of the zodiac.  You may also know that when the Sun moved into Aries on March 20th, it was the first day of Spring.  It is the time of year when the Earth becomes new again.  The trees come alive again with leaves, daffodils and tulips shower us with their beauty, and soon the grass will need to be mowed.

I’ve been hearing the sing song of birds each morning as they begin their Spring time chores of attracting mates and building nests in anticipation of new life.  I sometimes like to pretend that I know what they’re saying to each other.  It’s just a game I play in my mind.

We have energy in the air to begin anew, to clean out the dark corners in our closets and drawers.  If you are in a warmer place than I am, open your windows and draw in the fresh air.  Let the stagnant energy of Winter whoosh out of your home, and replace it with a fresh breeze of Spring air.

Set your intentions for the month ahead.  Make a fresh start in some area of your life.  Take it slowly or quickly – go at a pace that is comfortable for you.
